Fishers Fire District protects 26 square miles within the Town of Victor and 5 miles of the New York State Thruway.  Victor is located in the northwest corner of Ontario County 20 miles southeast of Rochester New York.  The territory protected by the Fishers borders with Monroe County on two sides.  Fishers is an active participant in both the Monroe and Ontario county mutual aid plans.

The district is a mix of rural land, residential developments with a corridor of commercial and light industry.  Within the district is one of the largest mall complexes in western New York, Eastview Mall.   2 major expressways,   Interstate 90 and Interstate 490 intersect in the district.  I90 is the New York State Thruway, I490 is the major eastern connection between the Thruway and   Rochester.

The District operates 2 rescue pumpers, 1-100 ft. quint, 1 rescue truck, and 1 grassfire truck out of 2 fire stations.  Staffing is provided by the Fishers Volunteer Fire Association augmented by a paid custodian/driver during the weekday daytime hours in each station.

The District is managed by a Board of Fire Commissioners.  The Board is made up of 5 elected members, each elected a different year for a 5 year term and a Treasurer elected for a 3-year term.  The Board meets the third Tuesday of each month at Station 2 372 High Street, Victor NY at 7:30 pm.  Meetings are open to the public.
