Firefighting is not for everyone...
but volunteering can be!!
The Fishers Fire Department is made up of a combination of career and volunteer firefighters dedicated to protecting the Fisher's Fire District. As a volunteer for the Fishers Fire Department, you will find yourself in an active and friendly environment, where you can discover your capabilities. With our commitment to training, and strong sense of community, you'll be proud to wear the Fishers uniform.
We realize that firefighting is not for everyone, but believe that volunteering can be. There is plenty of work to be done on or behind the scenes including just running the business of providing emergency services. A strong Fire Department needs individuals to fight fires, to support the firefighters (exterior firefighters), to handle the aerial and pumper trucks, to supply water, and to ensure public safety. There are also medical and administrative positions that need to be filled. Find something of interest and the Department will provide training.
We offer the most flexible membership opportunities available and are always accepting new applicants from dedicated citizens.
